This is the classic impression of a Roman Legionnaire's helmet, with the cheek guards, long flowing eyebrows, neckguard and the ridge at the front of the skull. In fact most of these were made by Gauls, hence the name Imperial Gallic Helmet. This is a Centurion's as indicated by the mane of hair going across the helmet rather than back to front.
