Suchomimus was a large carnivorous theropod that lived around 110 to 100 million years ago during the middle Cretaceous period. Spinosaurus had a short sail on its back that is believed to have been used for heat regulation. Spinosaurus' had long thumb claws, long and conical teeth, and its long crocodilian snout suggest that its primary diet consisted of fish.

Suchomimus means "crocodile mimic". Fossils have been found in the Sahara, Africa. It was named in 1998.
